Palm Bowls
It is not hard to imagine how early humans might have gathered fallen palm fronds and turned them to their benefit. Padding for their beds, roofing for their shelters, and most likely, folding them into makeshift vessels to capture rainwater. The cellular surface of most leaves, especially those of a waxy palm frond, would have made excellent tableware for our ancestral cousins. And, of course, with the added benefit that they were biodegradable.
